"Ara i res", the new album of Mishima

It’s been three years since Mishima surprised us with L’Ànsia Que Cura (Warner Music, 2014) and, to be honest, we were anxiously awaiting their return. And finally, after giving us some clues with the singles “Qui més estima” and “S’haurà de fer de nit”, Barcelona’s quintet has released Ara i res. An eight album that was recorded entirely in Black Box Studio (France) with Peter Deimel and that explores, as they say, their most romantic but most disbelieving side, the most bare and the most felt, the most bright and the most dark. A record that we will enjoy in their performance at VIDA 2017.

VIDA CLUB, the new venue of VIDA 2017

VIDA CLUB is the new venue of VIDA's festival last edition. With a similar environment as the Wild Side zone but being open to the public, we will put in the spotlight a line-up formed exclusively by national and international DJs with club and festival residences, just like important stirrer cultural figures. With this, we are trying to thank all the clubs for their contribution to the music scene. We are so sure that, without them, the majority of the bands that play in VIDA wouldn't exist.

Few months before the festival, VIDA will be celebrating the second edition of VIDA BBQ on Saturday May 13th. An event that will take place in Masia d'en Cabanyes' garden and will be held from 12 noon until 22 pm, all day enjoying the performances of Maga (acoustic), Maria Arnal & Marcel Bagés and Tversky. And also, the set of VIDA DJs (&friends).

The entrance to VIDA BBQ will be free with any of the festival tickets. Otherwise, the entry will be available at a price of 10€. In addition, lunch must be booked previously and you will have to decide between two menus, both for the price of 15€.

Movistar once again at Vida Festival!

It's been several years sharing adventure with our friends of Movistar and, in this edition, they come with some great news. One the one hand, La Cova stage will bring us to the #SesionesMovistarPlus with the acts of Chico y Chica, La Iaia, Las Bistecs, Les Sueques, Los Punsetes, Pau Vallvé, Rusos Blancos, Tórtel and the newcomers, Las Odio. In addition, we will release a new space dedicated to the seventh art, where all of us will take a break and watch #HistoriasMinimas, a selections of short films made by and for Vida Festival.

Real Estate release “In Mind”, their forth and new album.

After having made excellent records as Days (Domino/Pias, 2011) and Atlas (Domino/Pias, 2014), Real Estate raised as one of the most relevant indie-pop groups in the whole world. A brilliant career that Matt Mondanile, the guitarist, decided to abandon to dedicate all his time to Ducktails, his other music project. A change that In Mind (Domino, 2017), the band’s fourth and last album, has been solved by the inclusion of a new guitarist, Julian Lynch, and old friend of university. Beyond these changes, the last record of the band from New Jersey captivates as their previous ones, thanks to a luminous and melodic pop-rock. A musical direction that was already drawn in the first songs of the album, “Darling” and “Stained Glass”.

Fleet Foxes announce new album with a double song

It’s been six long years of waiting but, at last, Fleet Foxes have broken their silence. After establishing themselves as one of the most powerful international folk bands with Fleet Foxes (Bella Union / Sinnamon, 2008) and Helplessness Blues (Coop / Music Usual, 2011), the group leaded by Robin Pecknold has announced the release of their third album Crack-Up (Nonesuch Records, 2017) with an exquisite double song, "Third of May / Ōdaigahara". A piece where the band from Seattle show a brilliant, intense and introspective folk. This new record, coproduced by Robin Pecknold and Skyler Skjelset, will be published next June 16th and we will be able to enjoy it in the Vida Festival 2017.
